Reinforced Laryngeal Mask Airway

Tuoren laryngeal mask airway (LMA) is a device that helps to open patients’ airways at the time of unconsciousness. It is a specific kind of supraglottic airway instrument. In the pre-hospital situation (such as by paramedics and emergency medical technicians), they are most frequently employed by anaesthetists to deliver oxygen or inhalational anesthetic to the lungs during surgery.

Reinforced Laryngeal Mask Airway - Tuoren

In contrast to tracheal tubes, which pass through the glottis, a laryngeal mask is made up of an airway tube that connects to an elliptical mask with a cuff that is passed through the patient's lips, down the windpipe, and when deployed forms an airtight seal on top of the glottis.

Difficult Airway might result in failure of intubation or serious complications. Supraglottic airway devices are suggested.

Features

  • Extension of 1st generation classic LMA
  • Flexometallic Tube Body, effective during adequate cough
  • For shared airways – the tube can be moved out of the surgical field without displacement of the cuff, or loss of seal for the anaesthetists.
  • Endotracheal tube with stylet more easy to be shaped and excellently inserted into glottis.

Benefits

  • Flexometallic Tube Body 15 mm connector, Inflation Pilot balloon
  • LMA Reinforced should be considered for Bilateral myringotomy tubes, Rhinoplasty, Nasal sinus surgery, Adenoidectomy, and Tonsillectomy.
  • Designed for shared airways – airway tube can be moved out of the surgical field without displacement of the cuff, or loss of seal for the anaesthetists.
  • Patient protection – LMA Reinforced acts as a barrier, preventing soiling of the glottis or trachea by blood or secretions from above. The LMA Reinforced protects the larynx from contamination during and after the operation until the return of the patient’s own protective reflexes.
