PCA Elastomeric Infusion Pump
TUORen NewFuser® pump is a disposable ambulatory elastomeric pump with a hard case. It is used for the application of medication.
NewFuser® Pro+ PCA Elastomeric Infusion Pump is Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) is a technique allowing patients to self-administer parenteral analgesics. NewFuser Pro+ have a drug reservoir and infusion system whereby PCA administration can occur without a background continuous infusion. PCA would be used as an adjunct therapy to treat the pain while the underlying cause gets diagnosed and treated. Patients with chronic illnesses who are suffering from lower levels of constant chronic pain would also be candidates for PCA.
How PCA Elastomeric Infusion Pump works!
The pump has a specially designed balloon-like silicone reservoir that is filled with the drug or fluid intended for infusion. This balloon exerts mechanical pressure, thereby administering the liquid-based medication through a flow restrictor, creating the predetermined flow rate. The device is designed to deliver the nominal volume within ±10 % of the nominal infusion time.
